INTERSTATE 40 & NAVAJO · HOLBROOK, ARIZONA
Holbrook Retail
The site is located with excellent visibility to
Interstate 40 with access from two interchanges. Holbrook is
the first town as you enter Arizona from New Mexico on I-40
and is at the entry to the Petrified Forest National Park, which
sees approximately 630,000 visitors per year.
The Holbrook Basin, located ±12 miles south of Holbrook, is expected to bring a new potash mining operation to the region. The area is approximately 96,000 acres (with potential to grow to 110,000 acres) and could become a new "gold rush", like the Town of Prescott experienced in 1863. Confederation Mineral, Ltd. signed an agreement with Passport Potash, Inc. to begin exploring the area. This is expected to become the largest potash producing facility in the United States, with the creation of approximately 4,500 mining jobs and a minimum population growth estimate of 13,500 people to the immediate area.
